“Why can’t I just…?”
Do you ever find yourself feeling stuck and discouraged? Do you wonder why you can’t just… talk to people, finish a task, let go, relax, sleep, eat, say “no”? You name it. I can help you understand yourself better, and find ways to move forward.
“Why can’t they just…?"
Are you at a loss as to how to help a loved one? Is your child or teenager struggling? It can be stressful and confusing. I work with children, teens, and their parents to help kids build life skills, improve self esteem, and open up communication.
Hi, I’m Devon M. Donohue, LCMHC, LCPC, ATR.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maine, and Registered Art Therapist.
My warm, interactive, engaged style helps clients of all ages move forward in a direction that feels right for them. Sometimes this involves dramatic change, but more often it is achieved through small, targeted, actionable adjustments in perspective, thoughts, and actions.
No matter how complex, we can find a starting place.
Clients and I work together using a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to learning and growth that works uniquely for them. I am also happy to collaborate with schools, doctors and other health care providers, as needed.

Let’s Work Together
-
Children & Adolescents
A child’s behavior always communicates something important. We work as a team to figure out what that is. I give young people a fun, safe space to learn about the connection between their emotions, behaviors, and their nervous systems. They grow in confidence as they learn valuable life skills.
-
Adults
If you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I can help. We work together to identify patterns of thoughts and behaviors that hold you back. New skills and strategies can help you move forward with increased confidence and ease.
-
Seniors
Seniors are faced with unique challenges. Looking back on life while adjusting to major changes in health, living situations, and relationships can be stressful. Therapy allows for precious time to reflect, learn new coping skills, and find greater peace.
